Online social media has been around ever since the inception of the Internet, the only thing that has changed is that more and more people are now participating.

As more and more people participate, interest grows, then even more people participate and it gets exponentially larger, we are now on the brink of an evolution of the Internet,  a maturity! the Internet has become a mirror reflection of who we are as humans.

Today I will be talking about why you want to start a home business for yourself, the reasons that you have for being self employed. It is very important that you have a clearly defined reason, or reasons that you are starting your own home business.

Are you doing it so you can have more time to spend with your partner and kids, do you want to be wealthy and never have to worry about money again, or do you want to travel the world? Whatever your reason or reasons it is important to have them clearly defined before you even buy into or start a home business.

For me personally I had 2 main reasons. The first was to make lots of money and never have to struggle financially again. The second reason was that I wanted more time freedom, so I could pursue my hobbies and interests.

If you start a new business up from your home and have no reasons why you are doing it, you will lose your focus and direction pretty quickly and not even know why you are doing what you are doing. In fact having clearly defined reasons as to your why, is the reason that some people in life climb to the very top, and people without any motivational reasons get stuck in a rut and their life goes nowhere.

I always look at guys like Lance Armstrong or Tiger Woods for inspiration. If they just had the attitude of lets just see what happens and had no clearly defined goals or reasons, no one would have heard of these two.

But both Lance and Tiger are incredibly driven and motivated, and their goals and reasons why are so clear, and that is why the person in second place to them is so far away from their skill levels and success levels.

There is a great expression that goes like this. The pain of discipline is better than the pain of failure. So sure you may not feel like doing whatever you need to do, but you know you have to do it or else you will fail at what you are doing.

This is like Lance for example. He may not feel like getting up at 5am to ride his bike, but he knows that if he does not, the pain of having his competition catch him and possibly beat him is much worse than the actual pain of waking up early and training.

That is why Lance and Tiger have their whys clearly defined. So that when they may not feel like training or practice, they still do it any way as they know the greater scheme of things and will do whatever it takes to reach their goals. And so it must be for you in your home business.

Sure you may not feel like getting out of bed or doing and work on your advertising campaigns, but what will happen if you do this. Of course you know that you will fail miserably. Winners do the things that losers do not like to do.

That is why the pain of discipline is better than the pain of failure. I know this article will help anyone who is about to start their own home business, or someone who may have been in their own business for a while but is no getting the results that they wanted out of their home business.
