Being successful in the blogging world consists of lots of little details. There are a few things that you can do to help the situation. As a blogger, your ultimate goal is have good readership. Luckily there are a few things that you can do to help your blog be appealing. One major concern that many bloggers have is whether or not their blog is up to par with others. For some of you it may seem very basic to decide whether or not your blog is appealing or not. But believe it or not, there are a few things that you can look for to decide whether or not your blog really is appealing to others. You want to have an appealing blog so that you have lots of readers--that's just how it works. Let's Start With a Logo Having a good logo on your site may seem very basic but it can really say a lot about your page. The logos is one of the main focuses on your page and since it will generally be at the top, it's the first thing the readers will notice. If your logo does not catch your readers eyes, then they may not continue to read your site. When designing a logo, you will want to keep it simple but appealing. If it is not placed at the very top of your page then atleast place it about the page fold and in a spot that does not distract from the content. Look at the color Scheme Another factor when it comes to having an appealing blog is the color scheme. Many bloggers will recommend that you use a plain white background and using a generic black font color. Though this may appear to be plain and boring, it is much easier to focus on and read when it is all in black and white. Having fancy and decorative fonts and too many bright colors will only take away from the feel of your blog. Add Some Images and Fonts There are a few more things that you will want to consider when it comes to the overall feel of your blog. One major one is to add images to enhance your site. Try to include images that are relevant to your blog and the content. If you don't know where to go to get good images, there are many websites where you can purchase images for little money. Another thing to look at is your font. You want it to be easy to read and so you may want to choose a sans serif font like Arial or Tahoma. Sometimes if you use a serif font like Times New Roman it is harder to read and just doesn't quite seem to flow. If a reader has a hard time to focus on the content they may not finish reading it. There are a lot of details that you can look at when it comes to making your blog more appealing. Just remember to not be afraid of making changes. Changing your blog may be something you need to constantly be doing but will constantly help your blog stay just as appealing as when you started.
